Escape to a tranquil and introspective weekend in the Santa Maria del Oro lagoon. Reconnect your mind, body and spirit. Bring your awareness to the present with mindful meditation, deepen your personal yoga practice by synchronizing your breathing with the movement and learn about the chakras during your asana in a powerful Vinyasa Flow practice. Enjoy a variety of delicious vegan food while overlooking the lagoon and join in the playful yoga practice on paddle-board. Build with us the sangha community by sharing the accommodation in this beautiful villa on the lagoon shore. This retreat will be taught in English.
Jen Dodman first started her yoga journey in Canada over ten years ago. For Jen, yoga is more than just asana (physical poses), it is a way of life. She believes that yoga is a transformative practice that keeps her grounded and self-aware. Jen has been trained and certified as a 200 hour Hatha instructor and a 200 hour Vinyasa instructor. She is a dedicated student, who is perpetually on the path of deepening her knowledge and practice. Currently, she is in love with Ashtanga yoga and studying the primary series by practicing Mysore. Jen has also completed the first two levels of Mindful Education, allowing her to be a more reflective practitioner. In her classes, Jen encourages students to set intentions, connect with their inner-self and create new space with pranayama. Practicing asana is important for the flow of energy that exists in the body between the chakras. She loves to motivate students to find their own path on their yoga journey and stay true to their heart. By day, Jen is an elementary school teacher who inspires students to critically think and fight for equity and social justice.
